Hanoi (VNA) - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee will hold voluntary activities on building new-style rural areas on March 13, as part of the Youth Month 2022.

The event is to be rolled out by all units of the HCYU at disadvantaged villages and hamlets, on the conditions that COVID-19 preventive measures be strictly observed.

The volunteers will engage in various activities in improving rural environment, building rural infrastructure, or helping with economic development.

Recommended activities include planting trees, collecting garbage and removing pollution hot-spots. Participants can also help local people sort out and handle organic garbage at home and raise public awareness of the Four R's: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

HCYU units will also organise events to train rural youths in digital transformation, connect young farmers with each other and with digital commercial platforms, transfer farming techniques and provide consultations in various fields./.
