On addressing the ceremony inHanoi on Feb. 22, President Hong highlighted Kim Sun-han’scontributions to promoting friendship, mutual understanding andcooperation between Vietnam and the RoK.
He also praised KimSun-han’s articles and the book he published on Vietnam in 2007 whichhelps people in the RoK get a better understanding of Vietnam and itsinvestors realise that Vietnam is a “golden opportunity” for theirinvestments.
He also helped Samsung Electronics Vietnam toorganise classes on the RoK’s culture and customs for Vietnamese bridesbefore emigrating to the RoK. He also called on the JS Foundation,founded by star RoK footballer Park Ji-sung, to donate 90,000 USD to theVietnam Football Federation to nurture young and talented Vietnamesefootballers.
The VUFO head said he hopes that Kim Sun-han will continue to develop stronger ties between the two peoples.
KimSun-han said that he wishes Vietnam and the RoK will enhance investmentcooperation and put into action several agreements already agreedbetween both countries.-VNA
