Vientiane (VNA)🥀 – Construction of a dormitory building started on theLaos-Vietnam bilanguage school in Oudomxay province, Laos, on July 28.

Speakingat the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung highlighted the significance ofthe work in promoting the Vietnamese culture in Laos while contributing to the teaching of the Vietnamese language among the Vietnamese community, especially younggenerations in the locality as well as Lao people who want to study thelanguage. Forhis part, Oudomxay governor Bounkhong Lachiemphonsaid the school is a symbol of cooperation between the province and Vietnam ingeneral and with the Vietnamese community in Laos in particular. Withan investment of  6.7 billion LAK (308,000 USD), once operational,the school will become a place to provide Vietnamese language classes foroverseas Vietnamese and Laos in the province and northern area, helping them pursuit their higher education in Vietnam or for other purposes./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
