Quang Nam (VNA) – Winners were honoured at theclosing ceremony of the 39th Nhan Dan Newspaper National TableTennis Championships – PetroVietnam – Ca Mau Fertiliser Cup 2021 which tookplace in the south-central province of Quang Nam on December 4.

Nguyen Duc Tuan from Long Hai team in Hai Duong won the gold medal atthe men’s single and Tran Mai Ngoc from Hanoi T&T championed the women’ssingle event.

Long Hai and Ho Chi Minh City teams grabbed the gold medalsat the men’s and women’s group categories, respectively.

The tournament brought together 110 players from 11 teams nationwide,competing in seven categories.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan DanNewspaper Que Dinh Nguyen said this year’s tournament gathers many strongplayers, particularly young ones with improved skills and tactics.

The championships is expected to help the country selectcapable athletes to compete at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEAGames 31) to be hosted by Vietnam and international events in 2022./.
