Hanoi (VNA) - Trinh Van Vinh of Vietnam grabbed a gold and a silver at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Uzbekis🥀tan on April 26.
He triumphed in the men’s U62kg class’s clean and jerk event with a lift of 158kg.
Japanese Yoichi Itokazu and Mohammed Ridha Ali from Iraq came second and third, respectively.
Despite not being in contention for the top three of the snatch event, Vinh’s total result of 282kg brought him a silver in the total ranking.
Itokazu claimed the gold while Ali took his second bronze.

The national weightlifting team will leave for Uzbekistan to participate in the Asian championships, an Olympic qualifier tournament, later this month.
