VNA, Phu Tho sign communication collaboration deal

The State-run Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the northern midland province of Phu Tho have signed an agreement on communication cooperation, allowing both sides to support each other in the field.

Under the deal, signed by VNA General Director NguyenDuc Loi and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh in Phu Tho on June3, the province will provide information to VNA correspondents in thelocality while creating favourable conditions for them in theiroperations.

For its part, the VNA will publish newson Phu Tho in an accurate, timely and all-encompassing manner. Theagency will also design plans to provide communications support to PhuTho with suitable space in all media forms it publishes.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Anh said Phu Tho is famous for itstwo UNESCO-recognised world cultural heritages of “xoan” signing and theworship of Hung Kings.

He said he hopes thecomprehensive image of Phu Tho as well as the province’s socio-economicdevelopment potential, advantages and culture will be disseminated tothe community through the VNA’s publications and other media forms,helping the locality attract investment and boost tourism and services.

Meanwhile, the VNA leader pledged the agency willassist Phu Tho in communications for both internal and foreign relationspurposes, including introducing the unique heritages of Phu Tho, hesaid.-VNA
