The Vietnam Silicon Valley Angel Camp kicked off in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on June 2, offering a chance for students to learn from startup experience.
Can Tho (VNA) – The Vietnam Silicon Valley AngelCamp kicked off in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on June 2, offering achance for students to learn from startup experience.

The event was jointly held by the city’s student supportcentre, Department of Science and Technology and the Korea-Vietnam IncubatorPark (KVIP).

Vien Tuan Thanh, head of the centre, said that the programmehelps students, who want to start up business, to meet and connect withinvestors and successful entrepreneurs, and provides them with knowledge andskills related to startup.

The programme is expected to help form a startup ecosystemin Vietnam.

During the three-day event, students are expected to discusshow to make investors find out potential startups, learn from experience todevelop and control startups, and apply technologies in agriculturalproduction.

Director of the KVIP Pham Minh Quoc advised students not tostart up business alone.

He asked them to equip themselves with sufficient knowledgeand seek assistance from local authorities, organisations and previous startupsso as to ensure success and minimise failure.-VNA
