Virtual Vietnam solar expo to open in October

The 2020 Vietnam Solar E-Expo is slated to be held online between October 12 and November 10 to help create business opportunities and links in the sector amid COVID-19, according to the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising company (VINEXAD).

Hanoi (VNA) - The 2020 Vietnam Solar E-Expo is slated to beheld online between October 12 and November 10 to help create businessopportunities and links in the sector amid COVID-19, according to the VietnamNational Trade Fair and Advertising company (VINEXAD).

Officially endorsed by the Technology Transfer Support Center, theTechnology Application & Development Agency, and the Ministry of Industryand Trade, the event includes a “Live Day” for online communications on October27 and 28.

The exhibition will offer exhibitors opportunities to promote theirbrands and products as well as have one-on-one communications with potentialcustomers via chat box, audio call, and video call.

The APAC Solar Energy Digital Event 2020 Vietnam Chapter, meanwhile, isscheduled for October 20-22 and will feature a virtual exhibition showcase,webinar sessions, and one-on-one online match-making networking to create aone-stop business matching platform for all industry players to shareknowledge, expand business contacts, and overcome obstacles caused by thepandemic.

As of May 11, Vietnam had 92 solar and 10 wind power plants with a totalcapacity of nearly 6,000 MW in operation, according to the Department ofElectricity and Renewable Energy.

A number have been sold partially or wholly to foreign investors fromThailand, the Philippines, China, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
