Hanoi (VNA) - Property developer Vingroup has announced its plan to join inthe field of higher education by establishing VinUni University (VinUni).
VinUni’s mission is to train talented humanresources who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, life experiences andaspirations to contribute to their growth as well as the growth of society andhave a positive impact on the global knowledge economy.
After successful completion of the VinschoolInter-Level School model, VinUni will be a non-profit private Vietnameseuniversity built on a par with international standards, integrating the elitemodel of higher education in the world. VinUni aspires to create a breakthroughin the quality of higher education in Vietnam, aiming to achieve world-classstandards.
To this end, Vingroup will invest in buildingVinUni based on the highest standards of research, teaching, employment andinternational prospects. VinUni has specific plans for strategic partnerships with20 of the world’s best universities, focusing on Ivy League schools such asCornell University and the University of Pennsylvania. VinUni is also geared tomeet the world-class standards and rankings in higher education, such asQuacquarelli Symonds and Times Higher Education.
VinUni will focus on the education and trainingin three key areas including business, technology and health sciences. With thecooperation of the world’s leading universities, all training programmes ofVinUni aim to achieve international standards.
Students will have the opportunity to study withprofessors and lecturers from prestigious universities, research institutes andhospitals, as well as have access to educational technology, simulationequipment and the most advanced labs. Simultaneously, VinUni will create thebest conditions for students to experience practical education at theinternational university and do internships in the companies of Vingroup aswell as in leading domestic and foreign enterprises.
