HCM City (VNA)𝓀 - Nexttel, Viettel's brand in Cameroon, won the award for best Internet Service Provider in Cameroon at the 2015 Ascom Prizes for communications companies last month.
Nexttel was the first to offer 3G services in Cameroon, providing data service along with other traditional telecom services.
It has helped many remote users in villages access the internet.
Nexttel began operating in September 2014 with 2,000 base transceiver stations and 8,000km of fibre-optic cable.
After one year of operations it had 2.2 million subscribers.-VNA
