Vietsovpetro welcomes first oil flow from Bach Ho field’s BK-20 rig

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam - Russia oil andgas joint venture (Vietsovpetro) has welcomed the first flowof commercial oil from the BK-20rig belonging to the Bach Ho field.
The initial oil flow is 288 tonnes per day.
Putting the BK-20 rig into operation has helped increase oil and gas productionof the joint venture in 2029 to 1,152 tonnes.
The Vietnamese side in Vietsovpetro reportedthat it earned 722.3 million USD in profit in the first nine months of thisyear, surpassing the plan for the period by 22.7 percent.
Meanwhile, the profit of the Russian side was111 million USD.
The joint venture’s crude oilexploitation, natural gasproduction, and supply of gas to the inland also exceeded plans by 6.7 percent,15 percent and 54.3 percent./.
The Russia - Vietnam oil and gas exploration joint venture, Vietsovpetro, reported an oil and gas production output of 609,700 tonnes in the first two months of the year, exceeding its target by 6.7 percent.
Vietnam shipped more than 311,000 tonnes of oil and other petrol products in May for 191 million USD, up 1.9 percent in quantity and 2.3 percent in value compared to April.
