Prague (VNA) – The BananFestival 2018 held in Prague, the Czech Republic has shown Vietnamese youths areincreasingly integrating into the host society.

This is the third event of its kind organised in the country by Viet Up - anorganisation of Vietnamese young people. Activities in the event are familiarto most Vietnamese people living in the Czech Republic, especially youths. Itrepresents Vietnamese’s integration efforts, contributing to the development ofthe host country.

The festival helped connect Vietnamese and local people, thus promoting mutualunderstanding between the two countries’ people.

It also offered a chance for locals to explore business, professions and servicesthat young Vietnamese people are pursuing in the Czech Republic, and getinsights into Vietnam’s culture.

In the framework of the programme, a photo exhibition on the Vietnamesecommunity in the country was held.

Nguyen Manh Tung, a member of Viet Up, said thefestival aims to enhance exchange between Vietnamese youths and Czech andinternational friends.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
