Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese students won 20medals at the 2021 International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO).

They claimed two golds, five silvers, and fourbronzes in maths and five silvers and four bronzes in science.

IMSO 2021 was held from January 21 to 24, withIndonesia as host. Contestants participated online, because of COVID-19, withthe event broadcast live.

Exclusively for students under 13, the Olympiadbrought together contestants from 15 countries and territories worldwide.

At IMSO 2019, Vietnamese students brought home 15gold, 14 silver, and seven bronze medals./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
