Hanoi (VNA) - Students from Tran Cao Van and Le Quy Don schools in thecentral city of Da Nang won top prizes in two categories -- apprentices andveterans -- at the 2016 International Robothon Contest for primary andsecondary students in Malaysia on December 4.

Vietnamesestudents also won nine second, third and consolation prizes.

Vietnam hadsent 53 teams to the contest, which this year had the theme “Internet ofThings.”

Contestantshad to make robots and programme them to collect and deliver data.

The teamshad been selected through competitions held in HCM City, Hanoi and Da Nang bylocal educational departments and DTT-Eduspec Joint Venture.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
