Vietnamese students in RoK continue to help homeland

Promoting Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty and organising charitable activities to support the country are the key tasks to be performed by the Vietnam Students Association in Korea (VSAK) in the coming time.

The objectives were set in the group’s fifthannual meeting on May 24 in Seoul, where a new executive board wasselected for the VSAK’s 2015-2017 tenure.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the achievements theassociation has achieved in the last two years in terms of cultural andsport exchanges and scientific research.

Theassociation has actively provided support for Vietnamese undergraduatestudents, disadvantaged people in the RoK, and residents of the TruongSa (Spratly) archipelago.

The VSAK, which was founded in 2007, has more than 80 units across the RoK, with more than 6,000 members.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
