Vietnamese, Russian youths hold cultural exchange

Moscow (VNA) - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) andLenin Communist Youth Union held a cultural exchange programme in Moscow onDecember 12 to foster friendship and solidarity.

Theevent was attended by leaders of the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia,representatives from the two unions and 400 youths from the two nations.

Addressingthe event, Le Anh Duy, Secretary of the HCMYCU’s chapter in Russia highlightedthe contribution Vietnamese youths living and studying in Russia have made tofostering friendship between the two countries, saying that through art,cultural, and sport activities, they have introduced Vietnam to international friends.

Theevent is a bridge connecting the two nations’ youths, presenting an opportunityfor them to learn from and support each other, Duy added.

YaroslavListov, Secretary of the Lenin Communist Youth Union, attached significance toconsolidating friendship between the two nations’ youths.

Thetwo nations’ youths will contribute to nursing Russia – Vietnam friendship inthe long run, he said.

Vietnam’straditional costumes and handicraft, and photos featuring Vietnam’s landscapesand people were displayed at an exhibition as part of the programme.-VNA
