Vietnamese photographers win international awards

Two Vietnamese photographers, Than Nguyen from the central city of Da Nang and Do Thanh Nhan from southern province of Tay Ninh, have picked up awards at the 13th Orhan Holding International Photography Contest.

Hanoi (VNA) - TwoVietnamese photographers, Than Nguyen from the central city of Da Nang and DoThanh Nhan from southern province of Tay Ninh, have picked up awards at the 13thOrhan Holding International Photography Contest.

The contest was sponsored by FIAP(Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique, the InternationalFederation of Photographic Art) and Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey(TFSF), and was held in the city of Bursa, in Turkey.

Nguyen won the Orhan HoldingMention Award with his photo titled HugGrandfather in the monochrome photography category, and the FIAPSilver Award with Dependency No4 inthe colour category; while Nhan won an Orhan Holding Mention Award with Fire For Turning Steam Engine in thecolour category.

At the ceremony, a representativeof the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey received campaign medals on behalf of thetwo photographers due to their absence.

This year’s contest attractedover 700 photographers from 70 countries around the world with 6,000 photos invarious categories. After many rounds, 57 photos from India, Russia, Hungary,South Korea, Ukraine, mainland China, Turkey, England, Spain, Vietnam andMalaysia have been displayed and exhibited by the organising board.
