Vietnamese lychees reach EU consumers through e-commerce platform

More than three tonnes of lychee from the northern province of Bac Giang has been exported to Germany via the e-commerce platform Voso.

Hanoi (VNA) – More than three tonnes oflychee from the northern province of Bac Giang has been exported to Germany viathe e-commerce platform Voso.

The Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agencyunder the Ministry of Industry and Trade said this is the first time Vietnam’sagricultural products have been shipped to Europe through the “cross-bordere-commerce” model on an e-commerce platform developed and operated by theSoutheast Asian nation.

Sponsored by Viettel Post, Voso launched its VosoGlobal last March, offering high-quality Vietnamese farm produce to consumersin foreign markets, especially overseas Vietnamese.

The platform has optimised Viettel Post’s smartlogistics system to deliver the fruit that satisfies GlobalGap standards toGerman customers.

More farming products are expected to be put on the platformin the time ahead, thus serving consumers both at home and abroad.

The Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy hassupported Voso to create Vietnamese and English versions of its website./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
