Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in China has organised aget-together to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) for Vietnamese people livingin the country.

During the event, Vietnamese people, who cannot return hometo gather with their relatives in the nation’s traditional festival, had achance to make Chung cake (square glutinous rice cake) – a traditional and indispensabledish in the Tet occasion of Vietnamese, and other traditional Vietnamese dishes.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Sao Mai saidthat through this activity, the embassy wishes all Vietnamese people living andstudying in China to have a warm New Year.

The Lunar New Year always plays an important role and is anindispensable event in the cultural and spiritual life of Vietnamese people,especially those living far from the homeland./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
