Vietnamese firms join world’s largest food, beverage fair in UAE

Twenty Vietnamese enterprises will showcase their products at the 24th edition of Gulfood – the world’s largest annual food & beverage trade exhibition – in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, from February 17-21.

Hanoi (VNA) – Twenty Vietnamese enterprises will showcase theirproducts at the 24th edition of Gulfood – the world’s largest annualfood & beverage trade exhibition – in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, fromFebruary 17-21.

The firms includethe Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), the Hanoi TradeJoint Stock Corporation (Hapro), the Nafoods Group and the Vietnam HanfimexCorporation.

The AgriculturalTrade Promotion Centre under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development willorganise the Vietnam pavilion at Gulfood.

The event isexpected to help Vietnamese enterprises find consumers, sign export contractsand expand their market share in the Middle East, Africa and Southwest Asia.

They can alsointroduce Vietnamese agricultural products, food and beverages and promoteVietnamese brands to foreign visitors, according to the Ministry of Agricultureand Rural Development.

This exhibition willcomprise 120 national pavilions, with more than 5,000 exhibitors. The five-dayevent is expected to attract more than 90,000 visitors from more 170 countriesand territories across the world.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
