Vietnamese expats in Laos support flood victims in central region

Vientiane (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung on November𝔍 8 received 11,850 USD donated by Vietnamese expats in Laos to locals in flood-hit central provinces.
The money was contributed by Vietnamese organisations, groups and individuals who are living, working and studying in Vientiane, Laos.
The Ambassador thanked overseas Vietnamese in Laos for their donations for people heavily affected by floods, affirming that the sum will be promptly delivered to the needy.
Hung expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in Laos will continue their support for the flood-hit people in the homeland while building on their positive outcomes to contribute more to the host country’s development.
Previously, Buddhist monks at the Phat Tich pagoda in Vientiane donated 20,000 USD and clothes for flood victims in the central provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.-VNA
The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels received more than 45.9 billion VND from people and organisations nationwide to support flood victims in the Central region as of November 1.
The total donation of Vietnamese in the Czech Republic to flood victims in the central region has exceeded 2 billion VND (90,000 USD) and is increasing day by day.
Vietnamese communities in many countries across the world have made donations to help people in central provinces who suffered from flooding caused by prolonged downpours in the past month.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee on November 6 received 700 million VND (over 31,000 USD) and 10,000 USD donated by overseas Vietnamese to local residents in flood-hit central provinces.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
