Vietnam News Agency (VNA) General Director Nguyen Duc Loi held talks inHanoi on September 30 with a visiting delegation from the Prensa Latina(PL) News Agency of Cuba led by its President Luis Enrique GonzalezAcosta.

General Director Nguyen Duc Loi thanked the PL for itscooperation, support and assistance for the VNA representative office inHavana over the past time, especially the provision of its dailybulletins as well as official and important information sources.

ThePL has annually sent its experts to help the VNA’s Department forForeign News Services improve its Spanish bulletin and trainsub-editors, he said.

Emphasising the effective collaborationbetween the two national news agencies, President Luis Enrique GonzalezAcosta expressed his wish that the two sides increase meetings andexchanges to improve their cooperation in the coming time.

Onthe same day, the PL delegation was received by Vice Standing Chairmanof the Vietnam Journalists Association Ha Minh Hue, who said he hopesthe journalists associations of Vietnam and Cuba will soon sign amemorandum of understanding on cooperation in press activities whileincreasing the exchange of delegations to strengthen mutualunderstanding.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
