Hanoi (VNA) – The VietnameseEmbassy in Sri Lanka recently held a get-together in celebration for theupcoming traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
Attending the event wererepresentatives from the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Colombo city’sadministration, and the Sri Lanka – Vietnam Solidarity Association and a largenumber of Vietnamese people who are residing, working and studying in thecountry.
Speaking at the event, VietnameseAmbassador to Sri Lanka Pham Thi Bich Ngoc extended her best greetings toVietnamese nationals in the South Asian country.
After reviewing Vietnam’soutstanding achievements and spotlights in bilateral ties last year, theambassador lauded activities of the Vietnamese community and urged them to stayunited and further contribute to traditional friendship between the twonations.
