Prague (VNA) – Vietnamese communities in theCzech Republic and Angola recently held various ceremonies to mark the arrivalof the New Year and turn their hearts to the homeland.

Ceremonies in the Central European country were held by manyassociations of the Vietnamese community there, and drew the large participationby their members as well as representatives of the Vietnamese embassy. Manyforeign friends also joined the art performances and food festivals to sharethe joy with the Vietnamese people, many of them of the third generation in therepublic.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Angola also held a ceremony forthe Vietnamese community in the African country, with the participation ofrepresentatives of health and education experts, as well as entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Vu Ngoc Minh briefedthe participants of Vietnam’s prominent social, economic and politicalachievements over the past year and the Vietnam – Angola cooperation programmesto be implemented in the time to come.

Highly valuing the mutual support among the Vietnamesecommunity there, the diplomat called on them to further strive for successes intheir business and life in the host country, helping improve the bilateralrelations./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
