Moscow (VNA) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia in coordination with theVietnamese association in southern cities of Russia on March 7 welcomed 20Vietnamese citizens evaculated from war zones in Ukraine to Russia.

The embassy and the Vietnamese communities in Rostov and Voronezh will continueto support them in making procedures for transit in Russia as well as provide them with temporary shelters and daily necessities.

Nguyen Tung Lam, head of the consular office at the embassy, who led a workingdelegation to Russian border gates to receive compatriots from Ukraine, said after getting instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the VietnameseAmbassador to Russia regarding citizen protection, the delegation has worked with relevant agencies of Russia and Vietnamese associations in the country to quickly implement plans to welcome overseas Vietnamese evacuated from war zones in Ukraine to Russia via border gates.

🔜 On March 6-7, the Vietnamese Embassy, volunteer students and theVietnamese community in Hungary also welcomed and supported about 250 Vietnamesecitizens from Ukraine, mainly to Keleti station in the east of Budapest./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
