Vietnamese citizens brought home from Brunei

Nearly 240 Vietnamese citizens in Brunei, mostly workers with expired contracts of Lilama company, were brought home on October 2 thanks to joint efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy, the Lilama company, Vietjet Air and local authorised agencies.
Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 240 Vietnamese citizens inBrunei, mostly workers with expired contracts of Lilama company, were broughthome on October 2 thanks to joint efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy, the Lilamacompany, Vietjet Air and local authorised agencies.

As part of efforts to support the citizens, the VietnameseEmbassy in Brunei sent officials to the airport to assist them in completingcheck-in and boarding procedures.

In-flight safety and preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic wererigorously enforced to protect the passengers’ health and prevent the spread ofthe disease.

All passengers and crew members received medical checkups and were sent toquarantine in line with regulations upon arrival.

The repatriation of Vietnamese citizens in disadvantaged circumstances abroadwill continue to be conducted in line with citizens’ wishes, the developmentsof the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine capacity in Vietnam./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
