Hundreds of Vietnamese Christians living in Malaysia’s capital of Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas held a get-together to celebrate Christmas on December 24.

– Hundreds of Vietnamese Christians living in Malaysia’s capital ofKuala Lumpur and surrounding areas held a get-together to celebrate Christmason December 24.

The event wassupported by some Malaysian non-governmental organisations and a local church.

Josep Pham Toai, whois a member of the organizing board, said Vietnamese Christians in Malaysiaalways support each other and strengthen solidarity.

Statistics of themanagement board on Vietnamese labourers and experts in Malaysia show that thenumber of Vietnamese workers legally working in the country has droppedstrongly to 20,000./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
