Vietnamese, Chinese provinces hold 1st skill, technical exchange activity

Four northern provinces of Vietnam and China’s Yunnan province recently coordinated to organise the first skill and technical exchange activity for workers in Mengzi city, Honghe autonomous prefecture.

Beijing (VNA) - Four northern provinces of Vietnam and China’s Yunnan province recently coordinated to organise the first skill and technical exchange activity for workers in Mengzi city, Honghe autonomous prefecture.

At the event, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation and carried out exchanges of skills and techniques between workers from both sides.

Jinyong, Vice President of the Yunnan provincial federation of trade unions, stated that the Chinese province and Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Ha Giang, and Dien Bien provinces of Vietnam organised this activity to strengthen friendly exchanges between the federation and the Federations of Labour of the Vietnamese provinces.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
