The Games give young Asian athletes a chance to meet at sports venues, to embrace the spirit of international friendship, including respect and tolerance of their counterparts. In the last Games in 2012, Sakha welcomed more than 2,000 participants competing on 34 teams. The 5th Games saw a brilliant performance of Vietnamese female freestyle wrestlers, which was quite unexpectedly, providing that such teams as Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Yakutia, Far Eastern and Siberian Federal District usually took medals.
