Vietnamese brides learn RoK language, culture

The Vietnamese Embassy and the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in the Republic of Korea (RoK) on July 29 opened a course on the Korean language and culture for Vietnamese brides in Gyeonggi province.
The Vietnamese Embassy and the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in theRepublic of Korea (RoK) on July 29 opened a course on the Koreanlanguage and culture for Vietnamese brides in Gyeonggi province.

Funded by Kumho Tire Company and supported by the Uijeongbu ForeignWorkers’ Centre, the course, the third of its kind, aims to help theVietnamese brides integrate into the local community.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Minister Counsellor NguyenManh Dong said the course also offers the brides an opportunity to sharewith each other experiences in their daily life in the RoK.

The course attracted the participation of 34 members.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
