Hanoi (VNA) –𒁃 Vietnamese top badminton players Nguyen Tien Minh, Vu Thi Trang and Nguyen Thuy Linh willcompete at the 2021 BWF World Championships in Spain slated for this December.
Minh, the highestranked badminton player of Vietnam and former world's number 4, earned a bronzemedal at the world tournament in 2013 and another bronze at the Asian Championships twoyears ago. At the age of 38, he clinched a berth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games held this July. Trang is also a veteran player of Vietnam as she competed atthe 2016 Olympics in Brazil and was a bronze medallist at the 2010 YouthOlympic Games in Singapore. This year, in her first Olympic appearance, Linh won twomatches and was only defeated by No.1 player Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei.
