Tokyo (VNA) – The Vietnamese Associationin Japan’s Aichi prefecture was officially established on March 10.

The 11-member executive board of the association for the 2019-2023 term was ledby Le Anh Son.

The association is expected to build a united, strong and integrated Vietnamesecommunity through experience sharing, mutual support and community-basedactivities.

Addressing the ceremony to announce the birth of the association, VietnameseAmbassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam said the association will play an importantrole in helping Vietnamese support each other and promote their image toJapanese friends.

According to Japanese Minister of Justice Takashi Yamashita, over 300,000Vietnamese living and working in Japan have actively contributed to the hostcountry.

Aichi has the second largest number of Vietnamese in Japan, after Tokyo.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
