Vietnamese Ambassador presents credentials to Azerbaijani President
Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia and Azerbaijan Dang Minh Khoi on February 7 presented his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev who affirmed that the bilateral relations are developing well in both bilateral and multilateral aspects.

Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia and Azerbaijan DangMinh Khoi on February 7 presented his credentials to AzerbaijaniPresident Ilham Aliyev who affirmed that the bilateral relations are developingwell in both bilateral and multilateral aspects.
President Aliyev said that the two countries hold muchpotential in cooperation in trade, education and tourism.
Their collaboration at the United Nations (UN) when Vietnam assumedthe role of a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the 2020-2021term and Azerbaijan as the Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement in the 2019-2022tenure contributed to the world’s stability, he stated.
The leader also expressed his wish that Ambassador Khoi willfulfil his tasks to contribute to boosting the two countries’s friendship andmulti-faceted cooperation.
Khoi affirmed that Vietnam always bears in mind theAzerbaijani people’s support, including late President HeydarAliyev’s important contributions to the development of the bilateral relations.
Highlighting the positive developments of the bilateral ties overthe past times, he highlighted that the two nations celebrated the 30th founding anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2022 with various activities.Two-way trade hit 702.5 million USD last year, an 8.3-fold increase compared tothat of 2021.
The ambassador proposed measures to further expand bilateralcooperation, especially in economics, trade, transport and logistics, and oiland gas exploration and exploitation.
Khoi then had working sessions with various other officials of the host country, discussing orientations and measures to strengthen cooperation in various fields, withfocus on economics, trade and investment, particularly through the organisationof the third meeting of the intergovernmental committee./.
