Vietnam wins big at International Mathematics and Science Olympiad

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese students won a total of 19 medals, including three gold, at the recent 2022 International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO).

The students, all sixthgraders, come from Hanoi schools.

IMSO is an annual competition specifically for studentsunder the age of 13 and brings together contestants from many countries andterritories worldwide.

This year’s edition was held by Indonesia in an onlineformat from November 29 to December 4.

Previously, IMSO 2021 saw Vietnamese students bring home twogold, 10 silver, and eight bronze medals./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
