Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s strategy for the auto sector’s development aims at facilitatinginvestors’ engagement in the effort, stated Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Hemade the remark while receiving Osamu Masuko, Chief Executive Officer atMitsubishi Motors Corp, in Hanoi on July 18.

PMPhuc lauded the corporation’s plan to increase capital in Vietnam, particularlyin promoting green designs in the market.

Hesaid he is looking forward to the company’s further investment in modernassembling technology and its sales of electric vehicles in Vietnam, whichwould contribute to the country’s environmental protection efforts.

MitsubishiMotors’ expansion also helps realize agreements made by Vietnamese and Japaneseleaders on strengthening the bilateral partnership, Phuc stressed.

Forhis part, Osamu Masuko said Mitsubishi has received significant support fromthe authorities during its 20 years of operation in the country.

Hesaid electric cars are particularly suitable for the Vietnamese market due totheir energy efficiency and environmental protection.

Hehighlighted the corporation’s intention to scale up its investment in Vietnamand in the ASEAN region and revealed that a Nissan-Mitsubishi joint venture hasplanned to build a plant in the country.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
