Vietnam, Venezuela hold 7th political consultation

Hanoi,  (VNA) – TheForeign Ministries of Vietnam and Venezuela held their 7th politicalconsultation at deputy ministerial level in Hanoi on September 18.

At the function, Vietnam’s DeputyForeign Minister Pham Quang Vinh and his Venezuelan counterpart Ruben DarioMolina informed each other on the situation in their respective countries anddiscussed measures to further promote relations between the two countries andthe two foreign ministries.

They reached a consensus oncontinuing to exchange visits and hold bilateral meetings while implementing commitmentsmade by high-ranking leaders of the two countries and enhancing theeffectiveness of bilateral trade and investment partnership along with jointprojects in agriculture, national defence and science-technology.

The two sides agreed to maintainthe regular activities of the inter-governmental committee and politicalconsultation between the two foreign ministries, and to continue working tocomplete the legal framework for bilateral cooperation.

They were of the same mind aboutcoordination to organize activities to mark the 30th anniversary of bilateraldiplomatic ties in 2019.

The two sides engaged inin-depth discussion on regional and international issues of mutual concern, andshared the view on settlement of disputes between nations by peaceful measureson the basis of international law. -VNA
