Vietnam Trade Union celebrates President Ho Chi Minh’s birth anniversary

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) held a workshop in Hanoi on May 17 to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

Hanoi (VNA) –
The Vietnam GeneralConfederation of Labour (VGCL) held a workshop in Hanoi on May 17 to celebratethe 130th birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

Chairman of the VGCL Nguyen Dinh Khang said thelate President is a great leader of the working class and the Vietnamesenation. 

The President left a precious spiritual legacyfor the country, especially his ideology, Khang added.

President Ho Chi Minh was born on May 19, 1890in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, the north-central province of Nghe An.He devoted his whole life to the national liberation cause, while tirelesslystriving for peace and progress in the world. 

He also led the struggle for nationalindependence to success and established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, nowthe Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in 1945. The President passed away in1969./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
