Hanoi (VNA)🅷 – The International Kangaroo Math Contest (IKMC) targeting children aged from 6-12 will take place on March 20 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for the first time.

The programme is jointly organised by the Innovative Education Group (IEG) and the Centre for Education Research and Application (CERA) under the Vietnam National University – Hanoi branch.
Students from Hanoi will take part in the contest in Doan Thi Diem Primary School, Ngoi Sao Hanoi (Hanoi Star) Primary School, and Vinschool Primary School. Nguyen Thai Son Primary School is the contest venue in Ho Chi Minh City.
The examination has three levels, for grades 1-2, grades 3-4, and grades 5-6. The most outstanding participants will be eligible to join the Kangaroo Math Club and the Math Camp slated for July this year. The International Kangaroo Math Contest was first held in France in 1991. The event annually draws more than 6 million contestants from 50 nations and territories across the world.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
