Vietnam to become member of The Hague pact on industrial designs
Vietnam will be part of The Hague Agreement for the International Registration of Industrial Designs, which allows Vietnamese industrial designs to be protected in multiple countries, in the next three months.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will be part of The Hague Agreement for the International Registration of IndustrialDesigns, which allows Vietnamese industrial designs to be protected in multiplecountries, in the next three months.
According tothe Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister Chu Ngoc Anh has deposited aninstrument of accession to the Geneva Act (1999) of The Hague Agreement with Director of the WorldIntellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Francis Gurry at the WIPO’sheadquarters in Switzerland.
The agreementwill officially come intoforce for Vietnam three months from the day of deposition.
Anh said the system enables a business to registerindustrial designs in multiple countries through the filing of one singleapplication to the WIPO’s International Bureau.
The minister is leading a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 59th session of the WIPO’s General Assembly from September 30– October 9.
Ambassador Duong Chi Dung, head of Vietnam’s permanent mission in Geneva, chaired the event. This is thesecond year Dung has been honoured to take the presidency of the WIPO GeneralAssembly./.

According to Cushman & Wakefield’s latest Asia-Pacific Data Centre Investment Landscape report, Vietnam now ranks second in the region for data centre investment returns, with a yield on cost (YoC) of 17.5–18.8%, just behind Singapore’s 21–23%.

Under the theme “Breakthrough Era with the Development of Industrial Internet”, the event gathered over 400 delegates, including senior officials, leading Internet experts, and technology engineers from Vietnam and abroad.
