Vietnam – Thailand shopping fair opens in Hau Giang

The Vietnam – Thailand shopping and cuisine fair opened in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang on August 8.

Hau Giang (VNA) – The Vietnam – Thailand shoppingand cuisine fair opened in the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang on August 8.

Over 450 stalls display specialty food, wooden furniture andhandicrafts, agricultural and forestry products, fertilisers, pesticides, foodand beverages, apparel, footwear, electricity, electronics, householdappliances and interior décor, among others.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Nguyen Van Tuan said the fair aims to stimulate consumptiondemand and enable consumers to access quality Vietnamese and Thai goods.

The event also affords the two countries’ businesses achance to strengthen exchanges, renew technology to improve product quality anddevelop markets.

Visitors at the event are also treated to musicperformances.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
