– Trade between Vietnamand South Africa is expected to reach 2 billion USD at the end of 2019, heard arecent workshop in the central city of Hue.

The event was held by the Vietnam Chamber ofCommerce and Industry’s branch in Da Nang city and the Embassy of South Africaon December 4, aiming to promote trade, investment and tourism between the twocountries.

Statistics raised at the workshop indicated thattwo-way trade increased to 1.5 billion USD in 2017 from 700 million USD in2012.

South Africa supplies wood and timber products,chemicals, plastic materials, cotton and fertiliser to Vietnam.
