Vietnam represented at French language week in Mozambique

Various activities are being held by the Embassy of Vietnam in Mozambique to promote Vietnam and the Francophone community, during the Week of the French Language in the country from March 10-22.

Maputo (VNA) – Various activities are being held by the Embassy of Vietnam inMozambique to promote Vietnam and the Francophone community, during the Week ofthe French Language in the country from March 10-22.

At a cuisinefestival held on March 16, traditional Vietnamese dishes, including nem (springrolls) and banh tom (deep fried shrimp cakes), were served by staff of theEmbassy and Vietnamese restaurants in Mozambique’s capital Maputo.

Earlier,award-winning Vietnamese movies were screened at the event, telling the storiesof Vietnamese women before and after the country’s revolution, such as “Yen’sLife” by director Dinh Tuan Vu.

This year, the Weekof the French Language in Mozambique took place in Maputo, Beira city and othermajor cities of the country, with cuisine promotion activities, French languagecompetitions, photo contests and art performances of local and French artists.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
