Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam logged 149 additional COVID-19 cases, including 146 domestic ones, from6am to 12pm on June 28, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Of the new domesticinfections, 137 were detected in quarantine sites or sealed-off areas.
The national countreached 15,889 by June 28 noon, with 14,117 local and 1,772 imported cases.
The number of newCOVID-19 cases since the fourth wave of outbreaks that began on April 27amounted to 12,547, including 3,545 recoveries.
Fourteen localitieshave gone through two weeks without infections in the community.
To date, 6,319 people havebeen given the all-clear, announced the sub-committee for treatment under theMoH. The death toll has reached 76.
Of the patients whoare under treatment at medical facilities, 370 tested negative for thecoronavirus once, 125 twice and 152 thrice.
In the context ofcomplicated developments, the ministry called on citizens to follow the 5Kmessage, including khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach(distance), khong tu tap (no gathering), and khai bao y te (healthdeclaration), to help contain the outbreaks./.
