Vietnam presents insignia to French doctors

Three French doctors have been awarded “For the health of the people” insignia in recognition of their contributions to the health development of Vietnam.

Ambassador to France Duong ChiDung presented the awards to Jacques Lansac, Alain Desaulty, and JeanMichel Krivine in Paris on March 18.

AmbassadorDung took note of the effective cooperation and assistance from theFrench health experts in human resources training as well as theiraffection for Vietnam.

He highlighted theVietnam-France intergovernmental cooperation agreement signed in 1993 inmedicine and pharmacy, which he said has become one of the pillars ofbilateral collaboration.

Around 2,000 Vietnamesedoctors and apprentices have benefited from a number of trainingcourses in France which has helped Vietnam improve the quality ofmedical equipment and infrastructure, greatly contributing tomodernising the healthcare system in the country.

Professor Lansac hailed the acknowledgement and expressed his delightat Vietnam’s rapid development in the field over the past two decades.

This is why France is always proud of and hopes to continue its cooperation with Vietnam in the realm, he said.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
