Vietnam always welcomes and creates the best conditions for investorsfrom the Republic of Korea (RoK) to do stable and long-term business inthe country, especially in the fields of infrastructure, transport andsupport industries.
So said Politburo member and PermanentSecretary of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh at areception for visiting Kumho Asiana Chairman Park Sam-koo in Hanoion November 18.
At the meeting, Le Hong Anh spoke highly of KumhoAsiana Group’s efforts and contributions to boosting the economiccooperation between two countries as well as its social activities inVietnam over the past time.
Highlighting the fruitfullydeveloping relation between Vietnam and the RoK, he asked RoKinvestors, including Kumho Asiana, to expand their investment andcontribute more to human resources development, social activities andenvironmental protection in Vietnam .
For his part, ParkSam-koo informed the host of his group’s operations in Vietnam , sayingthat Asiana Airlines is the first carrier launching direct flights toVietnam and now operates the largest number of flights between thetwo nations.
The group has effectively implemented a number ofprojects in Vietnam , he said, adding that the Kumho AsianaScholarship and Cultural Foundation has granted 1,100 scholarships toVietnamese students since its establishment in 2007.
He affirmedthat Kumho Asiana will increase investment in areas of Vietnameseconcern, thus making practical contributions to the country’ssocio-economic development as well as developing the Vietnam- RoKrelations in a more comprehensive and sustainable manner.-VNA
