Vietnam participates in embassy festival in Netherlands

The Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands joined the embassies of more 100 countries at the sixth festival for embassies in The Hague on September 1.

Hague (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands joinedthe embassies of more 100 countries at the sixth festival for embassies in TheHague on September 1.

The event also drew a large number of tourism and foods enterprises aswell as professional and amateur artists from different countries.

At the event, Vietnam introduced to international friends its traditionaldishes as well as the country’s tourism, handicrafts and folk games forchildren.

Dancers from the Vietnam Students Association in the Netherlands alsoperformed traditional dances of Vietnam.

The ASEAN corners, featuring foods and cultures of Indonesia, Malaysia,the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, left strong impression on visitors.

Addressing the festival, The Hague Deputy Mayor Sakia Bruines said thatthe event aimed to highlight the similarity and integration of cultures aroundthe globe.

She said that The Hague is an international city for peace and a commonhouse of embassies and international organisations.

According to the organisers, last year, the festival welcomed 50,000visitors who enjoyed the diverse beauty in culture, tourism and cuisines ofparticipating countries, contributing to fostering their cultural and economicdiplomatic relations.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
