A Vietnam News Agency (VNA) delegation led by Deputy General Director Nguyen Hoai Duong paid a six-day working visit to Cuba from July 25. Talks with Luis Enrique Gonzalez, President of the Cuban news agency Prensa Latina (PL), were a highlight of the visit, as Gonzalez expressed his willingness to expand audio-visual collaboration with the VNA.
At the meeting, both sides reviewed their professional cooperation and concurred to enhance their mutually beneficial ties. For his part, Deputy General Director Duong expressed his appreciation for PL support in editing and publishing the Spanish edition of the Vietnam Pictorial.
On the occasion, Vietnam Pictorial Editor-in-chief Nguyen Thang and PL Deputy General Director Maite Marrero signed a pact to extend their coordination in the magazine publication in Cuba and Latin America. As part of the Cuban visit, the VNA Deputy General Director also met with Rolando Alfonso, Head of the Cuban Party Central Committee’s Ideology Commission, who offered insight to the country’s current socio-economic affairs as well as its political outlook. Meanwhile, the possibility for signing a memorandum of understanding on information affiliation was discussed between Deputy General Director Duong and Edda Diz Garces, General Director of the Cuban domestic news agency (ACN), as a result of the delegation’s visit to ACN premises.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
