Vietnam News Agency boosts cooperation with Australian media
The State-run Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Australian Associated Press (AAP) have signed an agreement on enhancing cooperation in the exchange of information in the coming time.

Sydney (VNA) - The State-run Vietnam News Agency(VNA) and the Australian Associated Press (AAP) have signed an agreement onenhancing cooperation in the exchange of information in the coming time.
The agreement was inked by VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi and APP CEO BruceDavidson at the AAP headquarters in Sydney, Australia, on March 16.
The agreement is hoped to help further foster links between the two news agenciesin particular, as well as strengthen the partnership and effective cooperationbetween media firms in Vietnam and Australia in general.
Under the agreement, the two sides will exchange newsstories in English and photos, thus meeting the increasing information demand ofboth countries’ people.
At their talks before the signing ceremony, VNA General Director and APP CEO Bruce Davidson discussed futurebilateral cooperation, which will focus on providing support for each other’scorrespondents, towards co-organising training programmes for their reportersand technicians.
As members of the executive board of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific NewsAgencies (OANA), the two sides highlighted professional cooperation in a practicaland effective manner in the time ahead.
They also compared notes on challenges facing news agencies and media firmsworldwide at present.
During his stay in Australia, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi had a workingsession with representatives from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
