Vietnam, Netherlands share experience in data connection, sharing

Amsterdam (VNA) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Lieut. Gen.Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, had a working session inthe Netherlands on December 12 with representatives from the National Officefor Identity Data, Logius - digital government service, and the Digital SocietyDepartment under the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK).

At the meeting, held within the framework of Prime Minister PhamMinh Chinh’s official visit to the European country, created a chance for bothsides to exchange and study the Netherlands' experience in the application ofpopulation data, and data connection and sharing with national databases.

Over the past years, the Vietnamese Government hasdrastically directed the concerted implementation of measures to builde-Government towards digital government, digital economy and digital society, whichhas achieved important results, he said.

Vietnamese officials paid their attention to securitymeasures, the prevention of making fake ID cards, the system control andoperation, and the management of foreigners living and working in the country,and the process of connecting and sharing data among ministries, sectors andfields.

Representatives of the Dutch ministry and Dutch experts in digitaltransformation introduced to the Vietnamese delegation the way to guide peoplein the process of data building, adding that this is the responsibility of allministries, branches and fields, especially officials and employees of theGovernment's management agencies./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
