Vietnam, Netherlands review bilateral ties

The bilateral relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands were reviewed at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 24.

A Holland Villageevent was held by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in HCM Cityin 2013, promoting the country’s culture and marking the 40thanniversary of Vietnam-Netherlands diplomatic ties.

LeManh Ha, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee underlinedthe fine development in the comprehensive relations between the twocountries.
In particular, strategic partnership in climatechange adaptation, the maritime sector, high-tech agriculture, watermanagement and education has been promoted effectively, he stressed.

Apar⭕t from the bilateral relations between the twocountries, the ties between HCM City and Dutch localities have also seenstrong development, with two-way trade turnover in 2013 reaching over650 million USD.

As of January this year, the Netherlandshad 73 investment projects in HCM City, totalling almost 480 millionUSD, and the country ranks tenth among countries and territoriesinvesting in the city.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
